About Me
I am a 28 year old novice wine lover, and I currently reside in Ballard. I love to write, and have decided blogging (along with the rest of angsty America) might be a good way to exersize the dwindling number of brain cells who still have a proclivity for prose and wit. I am loathe to admit this, but I’m a bit of a typical Ballard-ite. The “gentrification” has been in full swing for some time now, and I am sure the addition of myself (and hordes of hipster counterparts) have contributed to its exponential acceleration. I am still incensed to see the hulking shadows of new condos sprouting up everywhere including (literally) my back yard. I, too, lament the closure of Denny’s and the Sunset. Feel an unnatural comraderie with the lady who refused to let the giant conglomerates buy her house therefore becoming a heroic thorn in the side of the soon to be Trader Joe’s/Condo building across from Mike’s Chili. Though I abhor the chili there, I hope Mike’s lives on for a very, very long time. What is this nostalgia? Who knows. But a few glasses of wine sure helps and that, my friends, is the birth of this blog.
We’ll see how fast it morphs from wine related to random rants. Oh, yes, we will see!!
